The It Color (yellow)
Forrest My Case (green)
Can’t Find My Czechbook (blue)
Lost My Bikini In Molokini (purple)

Llarowe: My Own Private Paradise

Hi sweeties!

I’ve read great things about the Creative Shop stamper lately and decided to give it a try. I still need to get the hang of it since it’s quite big but so far so good. cbl - my own private paradise 3For this mani I used two coats of My Own Private Paradise by Llarowe as my base color. For the design I went with number 03 from the ProXL range by MoYou. And the stamping polishes are both by Mundo de Unas, 29 Neon Pink and 1 White. cbl - my own private paradise 1As for the stamping polish, I became a huge fan of Mundo de Unas. The only down sides in my opinion are the overwhelming smell and the fact that there are no mixing balls in the bottles which makes shaking difficult. I’ve read though that future batches do come with mixing beads which is a great plus since the polish is quite thick and therefore difficult to mix. I’ve ordered my latest bottles directly from their website. Since they’re based in Mexico it takes a long time to get here. I believe I’ve waited about 6 weeks for them to arrive. Then again, they’re totally worth the wait.cbl - my own private paradise - mdu 29 neon pink 1 white - moyou 03Thanks for stopping by! :*

MAC: Washeteria + MILV water decal

Hi beauties!

The minute I saw that Maria from Hypnotic Polish added MILV water decals to her store I knew I needed to try some. They look fantastic and I have heard nothing but great things about them. The ones that caught my immediate attention were the peacock decals (number N156):mac - washeteria 1The packaging says to use exclusively a white base color before application. That’s what I did here. You can cut the designs however you like, a great plus if you ask me. That way you can also choose to just add a little piece and save the rest for another mani. And they are different sized. Also, this particular sheet has three different peacock designs.
After the white base was completely dry I added the piece to a cup filled with water and waited about 30 seconds. I used tweezers to gently slide of the design of it’s back paper and placed it on the nail. I’ve found that dabbing a little water on the nail before applying the decal gives you more room to set in in the right place. Then gently press on the design and give it some time yo dry before applying top coat. Don’t forget to seal the tip(s) of your nail(s) with top coat to prevent the design from chipping.

I paired this design with Washeteria by MAC. What a lovely color. The formula is nice and creamy. I needed two coats for full opacity. mac - washeteria - milv n156Have you tried MILV water decals yet? They are available at Hypnotic Polish and come in many lovely design.

Llarowe: Lethal

Hi lovelies!

Every day I see more and more gorgeous mani’s created with nail vinyls. So I finally decided to order some and give them a go. cbl - lethal - mark needs love too 1I started with one coat of Lethal by Llarowe over a black base and topped it with fast drying top coat. Then I used the oval cyclone vinyls by TwinkledT and applied Mark Needs Love Too, also by Llarowe. Top coat and done! 😀 Obviously I need to practice the placement of the vinyls some more but I’m pretty pleased with how these turned out. cbl - lethal - mark needs love tooWhat do you think of these? do you have any experience with nail vinyls?
TwinkledT nail vinyls are available at their website, in case you’re interested.

I also ordered the heart beat ones and am excited to try them out 🙂

MAC: Monday Blues

Hi lovelies,

I’ve been stamping again! This time I went with a gradient look by using three different stamping polishes:mac - monday blues1For my base I used two coats of Monday Blues by MAC.
Stampingplate is number 04 from the ProXL range by MoYou and I used three stamping polishes by Mundo De Unas:
24 Aqua, 1 White and 5 Turquoise.
To get a gradient effect I randomly added dots of the three colors on the image and scraped from one corner to the other so that the colors slightly bleed into each other. mac - monday blues

Dance Legend: 644 + 637 – Velvet Collection

Ola lovelies!

I’ve been stamping again! dance legend - 644 637 1For this mani I used two polishes of the Velvet Collection by Dance Legend. As the name suggests they dry to a semi matte velvet finish. The base color is two coats of number 644. For the stamping design I used number 637 which is such a gorgeous polish. I’ll be showing a full swatch of that one in the near future. It has so much more to it than it shows here. The stamping plate is by MoYou London, number 04 (Pro XL). And of course I didn’t apply top coat here. dance legend - 644 637Thanks for stopping by! :*

Blobbicure

Hello beauties!

Today I have my first blobbicure to share with you:anny - blobbicureI used Die for high heels by ANNY as my base colors and Deep in love (orange) and Indian sun (yellow), also by ANNY.

I thought this technique was more difficult than it turned out to be. I found that it’s best to use polishes that are more fluid (newer polishes for example). I started with one coat of my base color and gave it a while to dry. Then I applied one more (generous) coat of my base color (one nail at a time!) and applied the other two colors while the base was still wet. I simply used the brush of the polish itself for this. Give it a while to dry and then add top coat for extra shine 😀

Have you tried this technique yet?

Essence: wild white ways – 33 (white)
Essence:  topscorers (red)
Essence: electriiiiiic – 31 (blue)
OPI: A Roll In The Hague (orange)koningsdag15 1What do you think of this design?

Super Easy Water Marble, for real!

Watermarble nail art… A hot mess? Fail? 9 times out of ten yes. But here’s a super easy technique with NO mess, NO bubbles and NO screw ups. For real! llarowe - watermarble1I used three coats of Barney by Llarowe as my base color. For the marble design I also used Vivian + Edward and What’s Your Dream?, both by Llarowe. How to? Go ahead and create your design in a cup of room temperature water as you’d do with a ‘regular’ watermarble. Let it dry for a few minutes. If the design got stuck to the side walls of the cup, now is the time to gently make sure it get’s ‘loose’ from the side walls. Now let it dry for another 15 minutes or so. When dry, gently pick up the design with tweezers and blow dry of pat dry with for example a piece of kitchen paper. When the design is dry you can cut it into pieces as desired. You can even cut it in the shape of your entire nail(s) to get a full coverage ‘decal’. Apply top coat and place the pieces on the nail. Finish with top coat and you’re done! llarowe - watermarbleHave you already used this technique? If not, just give it a try 😉
